Founded in 2002, The National School of Electronics and Telecommunications of Sfax (ENET’Com) is the second engineering school in Sfax, Tunisia. It offers training based on a wide variety of scientific disciplines: Electronics, Telecommunications Industrial Computing, and the engineering of decision-making systems. It trains graduates ready to respond to the major technological challenges of the 21st century with the skills necessary for the design of complex systems, such as embedded systems, microelectronic circuits, and systems, telecom networks, computer networks, smart electrical networks, robotics, and industrial networks.
IEEE (pronounced eye-triple-ee) is short for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. Despite the name, the IEEE is a leading authority in areas ranging from aerospace systems, computers, and telecommunications to biomedical engineering, electric power, and consumer electronics among others. IEEE has more than 400,000 members in more than 160 countries.
IEEE ENET’Com Student Branch was founded on November 11th 2013 by Mehdi Lajmi with 12 members, Our branch has many features, it is a heterogeneous mixture of several skills: • Industrial Computer Science Engineering • Electronics and Communications Engineering • Networks Telecommunications Engineering •Data Engineering
It is an enriching factor ensuring fruitful exchange among members. Our Student Brunch has WIE Affinity Group and 6 Chapters (CS,IAS, PES, EMBS, RAS,CAS).
IEEE WIE ENET’Com Student Affinity Group, in collaboration with IEEE WIE ENIS Student Affinity Group, successfully organized the annual congress of Women in Engineering in the Tunisia section. This event provided a valuable opportunity for all IEEE WIE Tunisia section student members to come together, fostering networking and collaboration. It was particularly significant for women in engineering officers across the section, offering a platform for addressing their unique non-technical challenge.
Building on this success, the second audition marked a crucial moment as the IEEE WIE Tunisia Section Affinity Group officially became our partner for the WIE ACT, affirming its status as the annual and national WIE event for the Tunisia section.
Going forward, an IEEE WIE student affinity group will proudly organize this event each year, creating a meaningful and emotional tradition.
