Future Makers
As part of the WIE Day celebration, IEEE WIE ENETCOM SAG organized a thrilling visit to a summer school, where we hosted an enchanting workshop for children aged 6 to 12. Our mission was to introduce these bright young minds to the magical realms of artificial intelligence and robotics. We turned complex concepts into playful and engaging lessons, ensuring the kids were both educated and entertained.

STAR PROGRAM 2023
The STAR Program emerged as a pivotal initiative, illuminating the lives of rural women in Sfax and showcasing their resilience and determination. Through visits to a local factory and various educational institutions, we engaged in meaningful dialogues that revealed the intricate layers of their work experiences, motivations for education, and views on gender equality. Our tailored questionnaires served as a bridge to understand their challenges and aspirations.
We introduced “HerAcademia,” a groundbreaking educational platform designed to empower rural women by offering not only lessons but also resources on entrepreneurship, healthcare, and the arts. This innovative platform was developed through collaborative workshops with students, where we imparted practical skills in coding and web development, reinforcing the connection between theory and real-world application.
Our dedicated video committee created compelling content aimed at inspiring rural women, while our outreach included coffee talks with the Association of Rural Women in Mahres Sfax, where we discussed the efficacy of our solutions. We conducted workshops focused on entrepreneurship and healthcare to further empower the women we worked with.
At Al Waadi school, we introduced children to our educational platform and shared engaging content from our magazine and social media, receiving enthusiastic feedback that underscored the relevance of our efforts. Through our multifaceted approach, which included discussions, workshops, and the creation of an educational platform, we not only raised awareness about the status of rural women but also fostered a sense of community and empowerment. Our collective efforts culminated in winning first place in the STAR Program Challenge, a testament to our commitment to making a meaningful impact.

STAR PROGRAM
Hello STARS ! We as IEEE WIE ENET’Com will start giving you a highlight of our work during the star program 2022 challenge ! To spread The love of space to young talents we decided to launch a SPACE KIDS program.
Let’s start talking about its first edition then !
We launched 9 activities , and we gave each one of them a name of a planet.
Let’s start talking about its first edition then !
We launched 9 activities , and I gave each one of them a name of a planet.
I ll start with our beloved Earth. Before discovering any other planet, we should take care of our own right ?
That’s why we started with a cleaning campaign where the children cleaned their school with the help of their teachers.Earth gave them a sense of discipline, responsibility and pride.
From earth we landed to our big journey which contained 3 big activities, planets i mean. We started our space kids journey by the Uranus planet of discovery. We taught our dreamers how to create their own website which contains 2 pages:Earth and space. Can you believe that 20 eleven year old students ended up leaving with their first ever website called :”من الأرض إلى الفضاء”. The kids were so excited after doing such an experience, energetic and curious about learning more.
Let’s now complete the journey in “Sedra primary school” under the big blue planet: Neptune.
As we believe that the best way to teach children is while playing, neptune was so beneficial with the various activities that we did all together such as: cartoon show, play, quiz game created by our own, puzzle, creating rockets, workshop about the scratch followed by a competition in which they showed their fascinating projects and high capability to work as a team.
We ended the journey by the evening star “Venus” where we did a workshop to their parents in which we showed them the importance of such topics and encouraged them to do those kinds of activities with their child who we finished giving them certificates for their great energy and enthusiasm.
Move on now to MARS, the red planet of determination.
Did you know that we have a place in Tunis called “Science City” where children can know more about the planets, experience the Atmospheric pressure and watch the planets in the القبة الفلكية ?
We went there too, we traveled from Sfax to Tunis for the sake of seeing the 70 kids of”sidi Jbeli” primary school, with their teachers and parents.
It was so motivating, especially that we held a competition of who’s gonna collect more information about planets and earth on that day.
We bought them snacks and gave them Star program bags and packets as prizes !
We also thought about the minority of children, kids with down syndrome and autism under the name : Jupiter, planet of blessings. We prepared easy games and we did them together with the help of their professors. It was amazing to see their pretty faces that printed the biggest grin during all our space games.
For more sustainability, We are active on social media. We did a page called “space kids’ or let’s call it for now ‘Saturn ‘ where we put videos, podcasts and posters made by our own dedicated to the parents and kids. Also, we did “Mercury” the quiz game created with a lot of determination by us dedicated to our future pilots and of course we shouldn’t forget our first ever story called رحلة الأحلام that we did and i gave her the nickname: TOI-1452b Our TSYP SB planet !
After finishing landing on 9 planets , we reached more than 160 little astronauts and around 50 parents and teachers.
